For Internships

This page defines what it means to intern at Belto—clear expectations, fast learning, real responsibility, and high standards from day one.

🎓 Intern Expectations

At Belto, interns aren’t treated like side help — you're part of the team building a category-defining company. That means learning fast, taking initiative, and contributing with purpose.

1. Commitment & Communication

Interns are expected to commit meaningfully—aim for 20 focused hours a week. If your schedule changes or you’re unavailable, communicate early and clearly.

2. Execution Over Ideas

We love creative thinking—but only if it leads to action. Your job is to ship, not just suggest. You’ll be assigned a lane based on your skills (engineering, design, content, research, etc.)—and we expect visible progress every week.

3. Earned Trust Through Delivery

Your reputation here is built on what you deliver. Interns who consistently go above and beyond can be offered equity, stipends, or even long-term roles. But nothing is automatic—opportunity is tied to performance.

4. High Standards, Low Ego

This is a fast-paced, feedback-heavy environment. Expect to get challenged, and don’t take it personally. We push each other because we’re building something that matters—and we want you to leave Belto sharper than when you came in.

5. Be Curious. Be Useful. Be Present.

No ghosting. No waiting to be told what to do. You’re expected to ask questions, stay involved, and take ownership of your growth. If you're not finding ways to be useful, you're not trying hard enough.
